Global Burden of Disease

Contribution of Data

The Global Burden of Disease study aims to provide estimates of prevalence, incidence, duration, mortality and disability for all diseases and injures. In addition risk factors will be assessed. Estimates will be made for age stratifications and sex groups.

NDARC and the University of Queensland are responsible for collecting data that will be used to makes estimates for mental disorders and illicit drug use. Systematic searches of peer reviewed literature and also grey literature are being conducted at present.

Contribution of primary research of high methodological standard is welcomed.

If you wish to contribute data to be used in the Global Burden of Disease study estimates please email your data and contact details to
